ABout OMTa/osta
The OMTA/OSTA Board is in charge of producing and overseeing every approved production. Duties vary depending on the position and generally range from light to moderate time commitments. Every board member is required to attend a Board meeting once a week, usually lasting about 30 minutes to one hour.
Everyone is welcome to join regardless of experience. If you're interested, please attend our General Interest Meeting at the start of each semester.

Roles of the Omta/OSTA board
OMTA/OSTA has numerous roles available both to incoming students and returning students who want to try something new!
Co-Chairs oversee all OMTA/OSTA members and roles, run weekly meetings and proposal meetings, recruit new members, and act as the representative for the group!
Treasurers handle the financial aspect of OMTA/OSTA's productions. They make sure each show has rights and, with their assistants warmly known as TITs (Treasurers In Training), attend "ad-hocs" to get funding from the College for each show's budget.
The Secretary takes notes at OMTA/OSTA's weekly meetings to ensure goals are completed and needs are met. They also handle OMTA/OSTA's email, and keep everyone on the mailing list up to date with what is coming up!
The Technical Coordinator is responsible for managing the technical aspects of productions (primarily scenic, lighting, and sound), training designers and crew in the available technical equipment, and assisting designers on their respective productions. Like TITs, Technical Coordinators in Training learn the ropes from the current Technical Coordinator to take up the torch in the years to come.
Our Graphic Designer creates all of the artwork and posters for OMTA/OSTA's social media, website, and posters.
The Musical Coordinator and Musical Coordinator in Training help with finding instruments, find band members, and advocate for the musical needs of different productions during OMTA/OSTA's weekly meetings.
Webmaster, a role reserved only for the most genius (i.e. me) or really anyone who's willing to try, keeps the website up to date with OMTA/OSTA's current productions and important events.
The Social Media Supervisor's role is to keep all of OMTA/OSTA's social media accounts active with show dates, events, and all things outreach! And our Photo and Video Coordinators help us take pictures and videos of productions and rehearsals.
Prop Masters and Costume Coordinators as well as the Props/Costumes Team take care of OMTA/OSTA's 400 space, where our props and costumes are held, and make sure each production has what they need to put on their show!
Production Coordinators (PCs) represent each production at OMTA/OSTA's meetings to communicate their needs to the board. PCs are constantly in communication with directors, designers, and the members of the board in order to make sure everyone knows who needs what. Production Assistants (PAs) act as assistants to the PCs, helping them tie up loose ends with shows and lend hands when they are needed and advocate for actors, stage managers, or other production team members. This is a great entry level role to step into if you want a lower commitment but active role in OMTA/OSTA.
