OMTA/OSTA produces at least one musical and one play each semester. Additionally, there are Winter Term shows that Oberlin students can participate in as their Winter Term Project. We often additionally produce several smaller showcases and workshops.
All OMTA/OSTA shows are completely student-run. As such, every show requires actors, directors, music directors, stage managers, lighting designers, sound designers, set designers, costume designers, run crew, and musicians. Anyone is able to participate in an OMTA/OSTA show in any way they'd like.
PROPOSING A SHOW
If you're interested in directing or music directing a show, you can submit a proposal to us during our scheduled proposal meetings. If approved, we will provide you with funding, resources, and guidance to help produce your show. We help with everything you'll need: from buying rights to advertising the show.
If you're interested in participating in a show, look out for audition announcements on our Instagram or around campus. We hope to see you soon!
